Jerry Jellig

Dr. Jerry Jellig - Veteran School Leader and DEIA Administrator

Professionally, Dr. Jellig has served as a DEIA administrator with LCPS, assisting schools with compliance, staff training, and equity-focused initiatives. He also contributes to student life as a cross-country, swim, and track coach. A seasoned education professional with over two decades of experience in public school administration, instructional leadership, and diversity-focused programming, Dr. Jerry Jellig has also served in various roles across school districts, including principal, superintendent, teacher coach, and DEIA administrator.

Dr. Jellig began his leadership career as principal and superintendent at RVRHS, where he modernized facilities, improved student performance, and implemented a pioneering goal-setting model. At SBSD, he oversaw 12 schools and close to 10,000 students while managing major construction projects and 100% clean district audits. He also collaborated with KIPP DC and DCPS on school improvement plans and later joined Holy Trinity School as a teacher coach, where he developed a reading program that led to increased assessment scores.

He earned a PhD in Organizational and Public Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Educational Administration from Johns Hopkins, and a BS in History from Providence College. Dr. Jerry Jellig also completed executive training in leadership for DEI at Cornell University.
